When was shag carpet invented or made available?
The ancient Greeks made flotaki rugs which were probably the progenitors of modern day shag rugs. I believe they were originally made from goats; but, today, these rugs are often synthetics. Turks may also lay claim to having originated shag rugs. I will not attempt to intermediate that debate.
