When was hockey equipment invented?
By the 1950’s the use of plastic and foam padding was common. By the 1980’s the use of synthetic materials and ballistic nylon was seen. Now the modern hockey equipment is light but strong and no leather is used as it rots too quickly. The only exception to that are the gloves, which still have a leather palm for a better grip on the stick when shooting the puck.
