When was gandhi born?
Mohandas Gandhi was born October 2, 1869, in Porbandar, India. He was an Indian spiritual leader and worked through non-violent means to gain India’s independence from Great Britain. Martin Luther King, Jr. used Gandhi’s methods of non-violent protest during the Civil Rights Movement in the United States in the 1960s.
