When was Blanca’s initial Solo Artist Exhibition and what are her future plans?
In 1997 Blanca accepted an invitation from the Embassy Gallery then of Coral Gables, Florida to exhibit her work in a solo exhibition in honor of her friend and mentor, the revered Cuban landscape painter Félix Ramos. This exhibition, “Paradise Blooms”, fulfilled her promise to him to someday exhibit publicly. Her work was critically acclaimed and seen by over-capacity crowds at that exhibit. International arts consultant Ariel Remos wrote in “Diario Las Americas” newspaper: “The overflow crowds were treated not only to the mastery of her highly regarded rose paintings, but also her landscapes. In a uniquely innovative style that is blended with classical elements, the magic in Blanca’s palette is her capacity to make her flowers “float” off the canvas to the delight and amazement of the exhibitions’ visiting patrons”.
