Under the guidance of the Standards Developing Organizations, IHS assigns each document to a Product Code Number (PCN). This number designates the section of Worldwide Standards to which it resides based on document characteristics. Occasionally, a document resides in multiple sections of Worldwide Standards. Not all customers subscribe to the same Worldwide Standards sections, therefore, they do not receive the same image CD-ROMs. Hence, IHS must publish the document on multiple CD-ROMs to ensure all customers have access to the document.
