A. No, the axle flange mates to the spring gear leg and the brake caliper mounts to the axle flange. If the matco brake calipers are being used, the hole in the caliper flange may do be big enough to slide all the way to the axle flange. This hole should be drilled out to final size so that the caliper flange can slide to the axle flange. Matco does this so that the caliper can mount to a variety of axles.
