When using the D-Range Optimizer function, can the original image be saved at the same time as the corrected image?

No, it is not possible if only JPG files are stored. To get the full potential of the D-Range Optimiser function users should shoot JPG- and RAW-files simultaneously. The JPG contains the full D-Range Correction. In the RAW file the correction data is saved with the file, and the correction is displayed when opened in “Image Data Converter SR Ver.3”. To retrieve the original RAW file without DRO correction, set “D-Range Optimizer” to “Off”. When opening the RAW image in “Image Data Converter SR Ver.2”, the original file is displayed without DRO correction. For more comfortable DRO adjustment of RAW images use “Image Data Converter SR Ver.3” (free download) Note: If the RAW files will be developed with 3rd party RAW converters, the user loses the D-Range optimisation.
