When using special effects hair dye on medium blonde- nearly brunette hair is bleach totally necessary?
From what I can see of this color, it may not come out as vivid as you may want unless you do bleach it. The best thing to do is do a test strand on a darker piece and a light piece on your hair and see what it does. Take about a quarter to half inch section and place the color on that hair and wrap in in foil. Process as directed and rinse it out. Ask mom or a friend to help. By doing it on both colors of your natural hair (hair is usually darker underneath) you’ll get a better idea of what it does. Pictures of anyone else won’t look the same as your own hair. This looks like a fun color with no peroxide, so I am not so anal about having a pro do it. But don’t bleach it yourself if that’s something it needs.
