No. Whether you select “Credit” or “Debit;” the purchase amount is deducted from your checking account: By selecting “Debit” you will be prompted to enter your personal identification number (PIN). Remember, purchases using your PIN do not earn points for this program. By selecting “Credit” you may be prompted for your signature, or the purchase may go through without your signature depending on the purchase amount. You will earn points everyday with your registered Harris debit card when you choose “Credit” at the register. In order to earn points, when paying for your everyday purchases it’s important to choose “Credit” not Debit.
