When using Doxil or Topotecan in recurrent disease, and not seeing a response – very practical question – how many cycles do you give before calling it a failure?
Maurie Markman, MD: Well, some people have said you have to give a lot of cycles. I would say 2 OR 3 cycles is plenty. If you don’t see a response, that’s it. Robert Ozols, MD: I agree. If somebody’s progressing after two cycles, I don’t think they are going to turn that around. If, on the other hand, they’re stable after two or three cycles, then I think it’s fair to continue to see if you may get a benefit later on. However, clear-cut progression is not going to benefit from prolonged treatment.
