When you go tanning you should use a tanning lotion, not just any lotion. Tanning lotion is formulated to nourish your skin and give you the best results possible. Tanning lotions have bronzers that help develop your color. If you use Jergens lotion or any other generic brand, you will get some color but not as deep as if you were using a lotion specifically made for tanning bed use.
