When two teams are bowling against each other, does the lead-off bowler have to wait until the teams anchor has completed the frame before starting the next frame on the adjoining lane?
Rule 106b states members of a team are required to take their turn on one lane before bowling in turn on the adjoining lane. This rule is not intended to require the two teams to complete a frame on one lane before bowling the next frame on the other lane. Teams bowling in direct opposition are permitted to set their own pace, as long as there is no unreasonable delay. The lead0off bowler may begin the next frame on the adjoining lane even though other team members have not completed their turns. Whenever a team is bowling alone they are not required to complete one frame on one lane before starting the next frame on the adjoining lane unless league rules state otherwise.
