When to use IGBC Green Home rating system?
IGBC Green Homes is designed primarily for new residential buildings. However, it is also applicable for existing buildings redesigned in accordance with the IGBC Green Homes criteria. The project team can evaluate all the possible points to apply under the rating system using a suitable checklist. The project can apply for IGBC Green Homes certification if it can meet all mandatory requirements and achieve the minimum required points. Further Green Homes rating system has been categorized to two certification levels as, rating for ‘Projects with Interiors’ and ‘Projects without Interiors’.
