When they became the Road Rovers and became the pets of world leaders didn their previous owners recognize them by looks and name when they saw them on news?
For starters, from it looks like from the show Hunter and Colleen were strays. While Exile, Blitz and Shag were work dogs that were mostly on their own so their owners may not have had as much contact with them and they might not even be missed. Also, their appearance are standard for their breeds so they don’t really stick out. Though, an eyebrow may be raised if their names were given but as far as we know they could always be referred to just as the Road Rovers by the media. Of course, this is all speculation on my part.
