When the process is completed, is it expected that Bangor University pay and grading will be the same as for staff carrying out equivalent roles in other universities?
The Framework Agreement provides the flexibility for universities to develop their own pay and grading structures against a common pay spine. It is likely that universities will develop different pay and grading structures. Bangor University will need to develop a pay and grading structure that will enable it to compete effectively for staff in local, national and international labour markets and thereby maintain its current position in teaching and research.
