Climate change is happening all the time but it is the rate of climate change that no one knows for sure. For example, ocean currents carrying heat from the tropics around the world play an important part in global climate. According to computer models it is projected that continued warming could trigger a change in the flow of currents which may perhaps lead to abrupt climate change in certain areas of the world.
