When the OPT-24 card is installed, is it possible to leave the other (back-plane, card cage) cards installed and active?
The OPT-24 is a 24-channel I/O card that uses the ADAT TM fiber optic (lightpipe) interface. Unlike the standard I/O cards, it is installed in the ACC1 (ACC on the MDR) PCI slot, interfacing directly with the Mother Board. When installed, the OPT-24 card appears in the Digital I/O Setup menu as three 8-channel I/O devices. Each bank of eight inputs can be selected between the OPT-24 and whatever card is installed in that bank’s I/O card cage slot. Outputs of the OPT-24 (as well as cards installed the I/O card cage) are active all the time, so there’s no output selection.
