The easiest way to understand it is this: The religion *of* Jesus = Judaism; Jesus was a Jew The religion *about* Jesus = Christianity: Christians worship Jesus, but decades after his death, Paul and his Gentile followers developed Christianity, an entirely *separate* faith FROM Judaism.
