When taking Plavix and Metoprolol Tartrate, is consuming alcohol dangerous?
Taking any prescribed or illicit drug with alcohol is dangerous and sometimes fatal. Alcohol will enhance the chemicals inside you, rather they are already there or added through medication. Which means it can easily trick your body into thinking it is over dosing. some drugs will lose their ability when combined with alcohol which would mean your body is not getting the medication it requires. You may know people that do this and they never seem to be in danger but medication and alcohol do not always work the same on everybody. It is proven there is a higher percentage that will cause serious problems then not and by the time you find out it could be too late.
