When suggesting IP video cameras, I constantly hear the argument that IP video cameras still suffer when in an outdoor environment due to daylight. How would I combat that argument?
A. The Cisco IP cameras have day/night operation. There is an IR filter that automatically switches to night mode in low light scenes. There also is automatic white balance (AWB), automatic back lighting, automatic gain control (AGC), and auto/manual iris. The Cisco IP cameras offer excellent image quality compared to analog cameras as well as the IP cameras of other manufacturers. Demonstrating the image quality in the intended deployment environment is the best way to counter that argument.
