When speaking in tongues,how will you tell is the Holy spirit ?
Those who have this experience know that the Holy Spirit is present because of the intense feelings of love and forgiveness that fill their minds and of course they know that the words they are speaking are not originating voluntarily from them. Those who hear someone speaking in tongues have a more difficult time knowing if it is real because there are some who pretend to be having this experience in order to impress others.This problem can be overcome in two different ways. We should not be impressed with people who have this gift but rather with the One who gives the gift.Realizing that some people fake this gift and that others will have the gift taken away when they drift away from God,we should not give the people who seem to have this gift admiration or honor.The people who truly have the gift of tongues from the Holy Spirit would never seek such due to their humble mindset.
