When someone clicks through to my order page, the secure icon isn showing up. I thought orders were supposed to be secure?
The order pages are indeed secure. The most common reason for this is that your website is using masking technology. If you don’t have an actual hosting account for this domain name and you’re simply forwarding (or masking, cloaking, etc.) the domain name to a page within your hosted website, that is the problem. Because of how website masking works, it will cause the website address bar to never change. So in this example, no matter where they click, the domain listed in the address bar at the top of the browser, stays the same (amazingmagician.com). Even if they click a link and go to a different site (like in the case of the shopping cart), it still lists amazingmagician.com. So it’s this “feature” of website masking that prevents the proper secure link to show up in the address bar (which also prevents the secure lock icon in the browser).
