When some one says wear my heart on yor sleeve likei do yours?
Not much, because you can’t wear someone else’s heart on your sleeve. To wear your heart on your sleeve means that you are showing YOUR emotions to the world. It came from the practice of wearing different colored arm bands for mourning and supporting teams or political factions. Everyone could see what YOU thought about an issue. It later came to mean a person who visibly showed their emotions. You can’t show someone else’s feelings, only your own. Your friend has taken this old saying out of context and completely mangled it.
