When should we choose the sliding glass lids versus the sliding insulated solid lids?
You should go with the solid lids if you are going to have your cart out in the hot sun on a regular basis. If you are going to be under covered areas outside or are inside most of the time, then the glass lids would usually be preferred. It also makes a difference to whether you want your customers to see the product or not. Also, keep in mind that regardless of whether you choose glass or solid lids, if it’s a hot day, you should have your product as cold as possible before loading the cart. We had to experience ourselves, as former ice cream store owners, that it is a trial and error period after first getting the cart and using it to see how cold the product should be when loading it in various outside temperature environments.
