When should the HP photo print cartridge be used?
The HP photo print cartridge should not be used when printing a page of black text as it contains dye-based black ink rather than pigment-based black ink. This would have an adverse effect on print quality. Print speed would also degrade as the black cartridge has 48 nozzles to produce black ink drops while the HP photo print cartridge has only 16 nozzles to produce black ink drops. Also, the cost per page would dramatically increase because the HP photo print cartridge would quickly run out of black ink.
