When should notice be given to the county school district regarding a parent/guardians decision to home school his/her child(ren)?
Notice should be filed within 30 days of the establishment of a home education program by way of completing and signing the required intent statements. Parents should begin teaching their child(ren) as soon as they withdraw them from school, but should not withdraw students from school until they are ready to begin instruction.
