When should my puppy have its first professional grooming?
We believe it is important for young pets to become familiar with the professional grooming experience as early as possible. If possible, wait until your pet is fully vaccinated at 16 weeks of age. It is especially important for long haired breeds to get accustomed to regular bushing and your groomer will be happy to teach you the proper way to brush and handle your pet until he is old enough for a professional grooming. Once your puppy is vaccinated we recommend a professional grooming every 4- 8 weeks in his first year so that he can learn at an early age to enjoy being groomed for the rest of his life.
