When should I plant them and is it better to pot them in soil or in stones?
Paperwhite narcissus are very easy to grow and are fairly inexpensive. They grow from bulbs and will flower within about four weeks of planting. If you haven’t purchased your bulbs yet, be sure to get them from a reputable source that knows how to store them properly and sells only fresh stock. Inspect each bulb carefully and pass on any that have soft spots or mold growth. You should expect to pay between $1 and $2 per bulb. Once you get the bulbs home, plan on planting them fairly quickly. If you need to store them for a week or two, choose a dry, dark place and keep them in a brown paper bag.
