When should i give my horse a wormer?
Ask when the horse has been wormed last by the sellers.A horse needs to be wormed every other month and you need to use a different wormer every time so the parasites don’t get immune to the wormer and you don’t get the horse cleaned out. There are many different types of wormer and you need to get a different ingredient each time. Some are stronger and some are weaker and the time of year has a lot to do with it also, certain parasites are worse in the summer/fall than winter. There are wormers that get all worms plus tapeworms but a horse only needs that once a year.
