When should I add the MotorSilk™ Engine Treatment?
The engine product is always added last to the fresh oil. The best time is at an oil and filter change. The product goes to work immediately and will take an estimated 400 miles for the Boron CLS Bond™ technology to oxidize the metal alloy and create the boric acid platelets. After 3000 miles, or at your next scheduled oil service, change the oil and filter as usual. The MotorSilk™ product is not lost or drained out at the oil change. One of the benefits of the superior lubrication of MotorSilk™ is the doubling of the oil change service interval. Note: Vehicles under warranty should wait until the warranty period has expired before extending the oil change interval.
