If submitted under the provisions of AFI 36-2401 via an AF Form 948, they must arrive at AFPC no later than 90 days prior to the board start date. Or, if submitted under the provisions of AFI 36-2603, they must arrive at AFPC no later than 120 days prior to the board start date for processing at the AFPC level. If your appeal is disapproved at the AFPC level, an advisory will be submitted, along with your Department of Defense Form 149 , Page 1 and Page 2 appeal package, to the Air Force Board for Correction of Military Records at Andrews Air Force Base, Md. The AFBCMR will make the final determination on your case (please note the AFBCMR has up to 10 months to finalize your case at their level).
