When shooting a backlit subject, should I use the Auto daylight synchro function or A.G.C.S. function?

When the subject becomes too dark such as in a backlight situation, the A.G.C.S. function is activated to adjust the brightness. Also, the Auto daylight synchro function is automatically activated to strobe the flash when shooting a backlit subject in Auto adjustment mode or Portrait mode. However, this function is not effective if the subject is out of the recommended shooting distance of the flash. If you shoot distant landscape in a backlight situation, using the A.G.C.S. function is recommended. Note: The A.G.C.S. function does not work when the flash strobes. If you want to use the A.G.C.S. function, please set the camera to always deactivate the flash.
