The license server software connects using two ports. The first port is selected from the first available port in the range 27000 to 27009. The second port is assigned by the operating system when the server is started. Since this port will change each time the server is started, this is not suitable when a firewall is in use. To get around this, the second port can be specified in the DAEMON section of the server license file.
