When redundancies are inevitable what do workers gain by striking?

Nothing at all. Its just a ‘last stand’ by the unions to try and threaten the employers – its a complete waste of time – the workers will get ‘no money’ when on strike – so whats the point – and as you’ve said if a company has decided too reduce their work force – then thats it.!! These unions ‘should’ be spending their time fighting for the best ‘redundancy deal’ that they can get for their members. No strike action has ever had a good result for the workers – not one – they’ve all had to compromise in the end.

Nothing, the workers just lose more money, me thinks the Government are glad they are Striking, like you said Redundancies are Inevitable
