Malt Vinegar is made from sour beer. This is NOT halal. Watch out for Cider Vinegar, Wine Vinegar and particularly make sure what vinegar is being used in that jar of pickled onions you want to buy! The only halal vinegar is Acetic Acid also known as ‘non-brewed condiment’ or ‘spirit vinegar’.
