In those cases, you need to refer to the printer/scanner documentation and disable the software that is loading. • If your computer does not have a parallel port, make sure the computer is in a docking station that does have a parallel port. • If you can’t find anything that could be causing the parallel port to be in use, verify (carefully) in the system BIOS that the parallel port is using ECP mode with an I/O address of 378.
