When must a school re-apply to maintain continuous STARS status?
[ Back to top ] If a school wants to make sure they have continuous STARS status they must apply the Oct 15 deadline of the third year of its current STARS status. If a STARS expiration date is 2007, the submission date for continuous STARS status would be October 15, 2006, so that the next recognition period would be 2007-2010 (or continuous STARS status), provided the portfolio submitted in 2006 achieved a STARS level score.. If they waited until Oct 15, 2007 to re-apply their award status would be listed as 2008-2011 (or a gap of 1 year — not continuous).
