When modifying a reservation in the New Dynamic Booking Engine, why do multiple revision penalties display in the Itinerary Details panel?
Each vendor establishes its own rules for modifying reservations. Some vendors assess penalties when a customer changes a reservation. For some reservation changes, vendors apply only a “generic” revision fee (i.e. name changes). The generic fee typically includes a flat amount and/or percent. For other reservation changes, vendors can apply a “generic” revision fee as well as fees for each component you change. For example, if you change the hotel on a confirmed reservation, a vendor may apply a generic revision fee along with a hotel revision fee. Also, if you change the hotels on a confirmed multi-stop vacation reservation, a vendor may apply a generic revision fee along with a hotel revision fee for each hotel you change. VAX displays the total for all fees in the Itinerary Details panel, near the base package price and total package price.
