He worked many odd jobs along the way and met many different people. The book “Into the Wild” chronicles the events in his life through a series of interviews with people who knew Chris, letters and journal notes from Chris, and the author’s words. In the book Chris worked at a McDonald’s for awhile in Bullhead, Arizona. He stayed there around two months. The young man then left and continued on his journey. His journey led him to the Alaskan wild where he perished from starvation.
