When lifting weights, is it ok to do a little less weight on each successive set?

The fact that you are a 57 year old woman who is motivated enough to workout is something that you should be very proud of. Physical fitness makes most people feel younger, more revitalized, increases your energy levels and by certain accounts might even increase your longevity. (it puts a bounce in your step) The first question you should ask yourself is…”What is my goal?” By answering this question you can then formulate a plan or determine what your approach should be surrounding your gym workout/routines. To keep things simple, let’s say your goal is the same as what you stated above…”To build strength and tone up. A few things to keep in mind with this. 1) There are limitations for everyone when it comes to strength and toning – this is why the goal question is important.
