An LLB will not make any difference to your entry to the Police service if you are looking to go into the general population. If you are looking to enter directly as an Officer of the rank of Inspector you maybe able to get a direct entry. Some forces have re-introduced direct entry for degree holders you will need to check with the force that you are considering joining. If you are wanting to go in at ground level as a Constable the degree will make no difference at all. The only effect that a Law degree will have is that you will have a better understanding (or should have) of the Criminal Law. As a Police officer and Law trainer at a Police college, I would suggest that you will fare better entering at the ground level and spending a few years learning not only the law as it applies to the police but also all the other things being a police officers consists of.
