It may still be called summer in both hemispheres out of convention, but “winter weather conditions” (as defined by the Northern hemisphere) occur from March to September in Australia, most markedly from June to August – – corresponding to weather conditions in the Northern hemisphere from September to March (and most markedly from December to February).
