When is ough love appropriate in family relationships?
Tough love is appropriate in family relationships when a family member has gotten out-of-control. When this person in your family is destroying the relationships, the harmony, and the enjoyment of family life it is time to engage the use of tough love. Tough love is usually associated with out of control teenagers, but can be adapted for any family member. Since using tough love is usually in the interest of saving a person’s life and future or at very least protecting their health it is necessary and needs to be thought of as the last possible option.
