Ahoy, me hearties, etc. In case you weren’t aware, September 19th is International Talk Like a Pirate Day. Celebrated since 1995, I’ve already lived through enough ITLaPDs to find the whole affair rather tedious and memesy. On the up side, companies occasionally use the date to give away free stuff, like LucasArts and Telltale Games are doing this year. This Saturday, you can acquire a copy of the first episode of Tales of Monkey Island for the low price of zero, simply by pillaging a code from the company’s website. Not only that, but the whole opening season of five episodes is available for five bucks less. Easing you in with a free copy of the first chapter is a sneaky move by LucasArts and Telltale, because Tales of Monkey Island is awesome, and they know it. Try the opening episode, and I don’t think you’ll be able to resist buying the rest.
