Corn gluten meal can be applied now until mid-October. The University of Minnesota suggests applying 20 pounds per 1,000 square feet. This also helps control the dandelions in your lawn. We have used this product for many years, and have never applied any other fertilizer to the lawn. Distillers corn meal can also be used as a replacement for the regular corn gluten meal.
