When is the next “doomsday” going to be after 2012 fails?
Congratulations. I never thought I would want to defend 2012. (of course since we’re talking about wanting I still don’t. It’s ripping a good myth out of its proper context and trying to force us to understand it in a way those who wrote it down never did for sure) Most occult publishers I know of are still working on their 2010 catalogs. And actually they won’t have to work with a particular date until 2012 because they have writers who are very fast and very amenable to editing as well as the other kind. I know astrologers who swear by the discipline but never claim it predicts the future. As an artist with a lively interest in comics and pop culture I am very familiar with the concept of motifs and I think it is relevant here. Take the Da Vinci Code/ Holy Blood, Holy Grail.
