Parade of Lights [Printer Friendly] 5:45 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, 2006 (Most roads along the parade route will be closed by 5:15 p.m.) Starts at intersection of East Washington Street and Dolans Lane Ends just past the Public Safety Building in the 200 block of West Washington Street The official start of the Festival of Lights, the Parade of Lights takes place on three miles of Washington Street, starting on one side of the city and ending just past downtown. The parade includes more than 40 floats shaped entirely from lights, including the 70-foot long float of the famous Clydesdale horse team pulling a delivery wagon, the starship Enterprise illuminated with 48,000 light bulbs, and the 95-foot-long smoke-spewing China dragon. The parade starts and ends with spectacular fireworks displays.
