When is the best time to wear polarized sunglasses?
Ideally, it’s best to have extra eye protection when you are in the vicinity of imminent reflections of sunlight. There are two instances when you should be particularly prepared. The first situation is when you are out over open water for an extended period of time. Sun glare can be notably intense when it is reflected off a body of water, which is the major reason boaters and fishermen are so conscious of shielding their eyes. The second instance is when you are highway driving on a sunny day. With blinding light reflecting off rear view mirrors, car doors, and dash boards, it can be difficult to focus on the road without wearing the proper polarized sunglasses.
