There is no best time as all of Alaskas seasons have something special to offer! The summer season is mid-May through mid-September, with only slight differences in particular months. During our June and July trips you will experience longer daylight hours due to the summer solstice. In August and September there may be opportunities for seeing the Northern Lights on clear evenings, especially in the Arctic. In Southeast Alaska, May and June tend to be sunnier and dryer than August, although this varies from summer to summer. Winter provides the best opportunity to see the Northern Lights, enjoy a ride in a dog sled, or snowshoe in the wilderness. No matter what time of year you travel; you will enjoy your adventure!
