that depends entirely on whether you are heading there directly or are planning stops en route. I’ve been to Thailand in both the dry and wet seasons and to be honest have never really found it to be a problem. certainly, during the rainy season it will probably rain most days but it isn’t like rain you get in good ole England – non stop persistent drizzle, this will be a heavy shower which will probably last or maybe 1 hour. they also seem to come at the exact time each day (i think it was 6:00-6:30pm local time when i was in Bangkok) so you should be able to keep out of the worst of it. another point to remember is that thailand, along with most other countries in asia, are quite big…so…when it’s dry in chiang mai, it’s bound to be rainy on the southern islands. it’s all a bit of a juggling act but too be honest it shouldn’t cause too many problems…. I do remember the trip from bangkok to siem reap (cambodia) taking about 4 times as long as it should due to the poor roads being
